I had three pallets of freight, all well organized, shrink wrapped and banded.
All three pallets had been dropped, and one, containing metal file cabinets, had obviously had extremely heavy objects dropped on top of it, causing dents so deep in the top that it is now impossible to open. The contents will now have to be removed by using a grinder to cut the tops of the file cabinets off.
One item was also missing from that pallet.
There was a report of transit damage to an intermediate freight center, but I was not informed until I called and asked. I never saw the report.
The response from ABF, after my sending damning photo documentation, was a query about the estimated weight of the damaged objects.
I received a check for $20.00.

They destroyed my custom piece worth over 10k. Suing them locally, then Class Action.

DISPOSITION OF DAMAGED SHIPMENTS - 3867

Carriers are almost always responsible for transit loss or damage. However, consignees have a legal responsibility for keeping damage costs at a minimum and must accept damaged freight that can be reasonably repaired. If the goods are damaged so much that they become almost worthless, you may refuse the delivery.
In that case be sure to file a claim for the full value of the shipment.
Some items can only be repaired by the factory where they were made. If repair costs are more than $100 and more than one company can make the repairs, try to get competitive bids.
Carriers who pay the full invoice price for claims on goods that are damaged beyond reasonable repair are, in effect, purchasing the damaged goods. The carrier will usually want the damaged goods as salvage.
Therefore, you must hold the damaged goods and make them available for the carrier to pick up.

Poor Customer services

They have the worst customer services and time manager, 05/16/2022 they called to schedule are delivers for 5/16/22 to say they will give us a 30-min call 4:30 is delivered and to found out they never called nor came to are offices to deliver the furnisher when called to see what has happened we were advised that they couldn't make it out to us because they were extremely busy they never called 30 mins, 40 mins even 60 mins after our schedule time. When I called to see what the problems were they simple told me with the rude way well we can get you Thursday for the same time, and we schedule the delivery here we go again but now the same thing and same problems but worst no answers or schedule for a Delivery it was a waste of money for my staff and a waste of time our extremely not the company I will ever recommend or use again

I ordered a massage chair from HomeDepot and was forced to use this delivery service. At the 1st appointment, I waited them at for 2 hours but no one delivery my order.
I called the Customer Service , that I had confirmed 2 times with for the delivery schedule, and they told me that sorry because the truck was broken down and give reschedule to the next day. On the 2nd appointment, I waited for 2 hours, but the same thing happened. No one delivery my order. I did call the Customer service, and they talked that the driver did call me but he couldnt contact me.
In fact, there was no missing call in my cellphone on that day. Even though I requested that they should provide me the driver's phone number so that I could contact him for more convenient, but they refused. Then I had to take another day off to wait for the delivery.
This is the worst delivery service Ive ever seen. Not suggest to use it.

ABF doesn’t provide tracking details like the pic you posted. That came from your shipper.
It’s likely the shipper used a broker to arrange for the actual shipment. Brokers are individuals who will seek out the cheapest freight charges and then lie about the transit times.
